Kitchen Re-do!

First up, here's some photos of my kitchen all fixed up. This space was COMPLETELY empty and didn't have anything in it. Majah boring fo sho.

Ceiling fan in our media room. It was a 5 minute fan from Hunter. 5 MINS MY FUCKING ASS. It took my dad three hours and he's a damn construction worker handyman dude. I'm so glad B didn't install this, it would have been bad. One of us would either be on the run from the cops, on trial for murder, or visiting a divorce attorney.

The hired help My dad and I, view from inside the kitchen. You can see the media room below his elbow. Those ugly curtains came with the house, now that the rooms full, they don't bother me so much.

Opposite wall in the dining room. Some thingy I picked up at Michaels for $8 and the curly stuff was $1 for the bunch. Wewt!

My corner kitchen sink. Its a fantastic design that I LOVE. Next project: talking B into a taller faucet. The hanging plant is new, ugly curtains came with the house, plants were replanted in the urns I got for a buck-fitty at Michaels. Dirty dishes are compliments of our yummo brunch.
All of the stuff on top the cabinets is new. Theres a bottle of Chianti I bought for decoration, can't promise it won't get ''used'' (wines not safe in this house!) some more urns, some bottles of Pelligrino, more bottles, a couple decorative plates, etc. Everything for that area costs under$50. The basket on the fridge holds my cookbooks! I'm filling it up on Monday when my shipment from Borders gets here.

Close up of the new kitchen light. We almost ripped it out of the ceiling, carried it to the divorce attorney, throwing it on his desk, and saying "HERE, THIS IS WHY WE ARE HERE!" (Note to self: when redo'ing the backsplash, pay professionals. Cheaper than a divorce) We got the light at Lowes for $89, its a big un' and lets in a ton of light. We had a lil dinky globe before that made it super dark in there.

New squishy mats for in front of the stove and sink. Got them at walmart for $5 a pop.

Tada! Best gift ever: THE WHISK MAN! He was one of my fave presents from B that serves absolutely no purpose, but he's cute. If you flip him around, he has a buttcrack.

The pan is new too, its too pretty to put in a cabinet. Its a Mario Batali cast iron enamel pan. I can cook with it and murder someone with it so heavy. Jars are new, they are from World Markets sale. I paid $5 for all three! Cute trivets new too, my mother in law got it as an xmas gift for me. Corner sink is to the right of this pix.

More jars! $5 total for these. I love them so much. The black part is chalkboard so I can wipe off what I have written on there and change it up.

My cupcake Apron from B, another xmas gift. I LOVE it.

Next up, the rest of the house.

xo Jess
