Christmas was a great day. I managed to lose most of my bah humbug mood, but not all. There's so much happiness around me yet mine is stay underlined with a hint of sadness. I didn't hear from my mom, part of me had hoped that I would...even if it was to start some form of drama, at least that would have meant that she cared enough to reach out. Thats how you know you've got a little crazy in you... when you'll accept drama as a form of love lol.
My family gave me some pretty awesome gifts. Our dad went above and beyond and got us some awesome gift cards. The brother handed me a huge bottle of my fave Pinot Grigio and told me to enjoy. The sister hooked me up with the cutest shirt, an interesting book, and an old school Johnny Cash Live at Folsom Prison record. It's probably one of my fave albums of his so I was super excited. I am going to get a frame and put it up on my wall in my reading room.
Brad spoiled me rotten. He got me tons of the cookware I've been wanting. I know, laugh away, women +cook ware for xmas? Usually the guys dead hehe but I LOVE that stuff. He also got me the cupcake apron I was hoping for! Its even cuter in person. Then he totally went and knocked my socks off with a tahitian pearl necklace and an amazing diamond tennis bracelet. I wasn't expecting either of those and really blew me away.
He was pretty happy about the stuff I got him, I was super nervous about giving him the top secret watch. I've never met a man so picky, gah. But it was a HUGE success as were the rest of his gifts.
Giving the gifts and seeing their reactions makes me so happy...Warms my cold black heart.
The in laws xmas was insane. They went above and beyond and I can officially say, I've almost been buried to death under tissue paper. I'm super excited that I got the amazing Mario Batalli enamel lined cast iron pot I was hoping for.. you know, that thing is a lot heavier than I imagined! It will def serve two purposes, 1. great cookware. 2. weapon to defend myself with in the event someone breaks in to my house :)
I hope everyone's Christmas was great and full of happy times. I booked myself a massage for tomorrow I am looking forward to...Not sure what my plans are today, we may go do a lil shoppin' or just be bums. Mollys going to be cracked out on the new bones grandma got her. She's beside me asleep on one right now. What a goof.
xo,
Jess
